Kyoto

Gastronomy experience tour to savor the village's climate and lifestyle

Date: December 13, 2025 (Saturday)

On December 13 (Saturday), in collaboration with "Murabito Travel!" and "Sasurai Diner," we will hold an experiential event in Minamiyamashiro, Kyoto for guests staying at Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro.

Minamiyamashiro, the only village in Kyoto Prefecture where Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Minamiyamashiro is located, is known as a major production area for high-quality Uji tea, with beautiful tea fields symbolizing "Tea Kyoto" sprawling across the mountainsides. The green of the tea fields in the clear air, the breeze passing through the satoyama, and the sight of people living peacefully reflect a rich culture woven together by the natural environment of climate and terrain, and the handiwork of the people. In this event, you will visit tea fields and a forest of shiitake mushrooms with a guide who knows the village well, and experience the thoughts and lifestyles of producers who cherish the blessings of nature.

The values nurtured by the close relationship between people and nature, and the "climate" that breathes life into the land, are the true charm of Minamiyamashiro. Please experience a journey that touches upon the unseen richness while feeling the thoughts of the people living there, not just the beauty of nature.
